Inspiring Generations to Come:
"Let the ideas you have today, benefit and inspire generations tomorrow."
— Moneé E.M. Sanders, Founder of Alopecian Beauty Co.
Alopecian Beauty Co was born from a passion for both beauty and care. Over 15 years ago, Moneé Sanders began her journey as a young entrepreneur, styling hair for family members. At just thirteen, she handcrafted custom wigs, but building a client base wasn’t easy. Determined to turn adversity into opportunity, Moneé found inspiration from serial entrepreneur Donte Watkins, pledging to succeed in a big way:
"We will become one of the most successful people on the planet."
That conversation marked a turning point. In 2014, Moneé moved from Chicago to Atlanta to pursue her dream of helping others. As a licensed cosmetologist, her reputation grew quickly, earning the nickname "The Growing Hands" for her ability to restore clients' hair health. But behind the salon doors, many of her clients were silently struggling with alopecia. It became clear that they needed more than hair services—they needed an organization that would provide support, resources, and advocacy.
In October 2017, Moneé took a bold step, founding Alopecian Beauty Co, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about alopecia and other autoimmune diseases. Through research, education, beauty alternatives, and mental health support, Moneé made it her mission to provide comfort and protection to those affected. By age 19, she became the first woman to lead a nonprofit of its kind, bridging the gap between medical professionals and beauty experts to serve hundreds of individuals.
Since its founding, Alopecian Beauty Co has become a beacon of hope for those dealing with hair loss, and continues to inspire future generations through innovation and care.
